I would try Westfield Valley Fair. It's just northwest of where 280 and 880 meet, and it's huge. Plus Santana Row is just across Stevens Creek to the south.



The problem with your question is that the eclectic/grunge style shops are never in malls. You are going to have to poke around a bit for those, but asking about malls will not help.

According to the list below, the only one of the top 50 malls in the US is Westfield Valley Fair. Therefore that is the largest in the Bay Area.
