We are considering a move to San Francisco bay area. Specifically the peninsula or South Bay area. We are a couple in their 30's with a small child, and are looking for a safe, fun and convenient city. We are currently looking at Mountain View, Cupertino,Sunnyvale and San Jose areas. Any reviews or suggestions regarding these cities?. Also, any other suggestions of other cities in the area that we may want to consider.

You could try the Willow Glen area of San Jose.

I personally like the east bay myself a lot of nice cities. I prefer Pleasington Livermore and San Ramon. I also like Fremont if you find the right neighborhood like Mission San Jose and Glenmore. Fremont is also a little cheaper. There is some nice schools in fremont but the best are in the other three cities.

hope i helped

Actually peninsular is better than south bay, burlingame, belmont, san carlos, menlo park, palo alto all are very good and pricey.

If you only consider those 4 cities, then mountain view is the best, a lot of apartments with many young, hi-techs and a lot of parks and convenient transportation.
