How Long does it take to drive from stockton to san jose?

I live in Hawaii and the cost of living is high and the pay is much lower than san jose = lower purchasing power. I am not familiar about cali but my partner knows stockton and the bay area well. I want to work in san jose but I think we might buy our place in stockton because its more affordable. How long does it take to drive there?

A couple hours driving. You can also take the ACE train from out in that direction.



Now...Stockton has won the award for the worst city to live in several times over the past years. If you want a cheaper place to live you should look at other cities like Tracy (same direction as Stockton) or Gilroy (south of SJ). They will both have similar living environments but are a little closer to SJ.

It takes about 2 hours depending on where you start and end up. Some people do drive on a daily basis from far away like Stockston, Concord, etc... to SJ, but adding traffic, it can be bad.
